When and Where to Apply
The renewal application can be submitted 60 days before the current residence expires. Documents are also submitted electronically online through the official portal of the Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration UGE (Unidad de Grandes Empresas).
Duration of Issuance
Usually 1–2 years depending on the initial permit.
Required Documents
List of documents for the main applicant
Scan of passport spread with personal data
Scan of current TIE card
Application form MI-T (with RENOVADA marked in the TIPO DE AUTORIZACIÓN field), preferably signed with an electronic signature
Valid contract or contracts with foreign companies
Complete copy of tax returns filed with Agencia Tributaria for the two tax years preceding the renewal year (annual Modelo 100 and quarterly Modelo 130)
Tasa 790 038 + payment confirmation (€78.67)
for self-employed (autonomo) — vida laboral and certificate of no debts to the tax office and social security
for employed nomads — certificate from the social security fund of the country where the employer is registered + health insurance for the entire renewal period

Passport (all pages) + TIE card (both sides)
TASA 790 038 receipt and proof of state fee payment
Application form MI-F (with RENOVADA marked in the TIPO DE AUTORIZACIÓN field)
Private health insurance in Spain. Mandatory for all if the nomad is employed.
Certificate of no criminal record (for all family members over 18 years old)
Proof of relationship and dependency — declaration of maintaining family ties (available on UGE website) or:

💡Marriage/pareja certificates are not mandatory for renewal, but we recommend submitting them.
According to the bilateral agreement between Spain and Russia, certificates issued by the Russian Civil Registry Office are recognized in Spain without the need for apostille. However, in practice, regional immigration offices often request it, so we recommend obtaining an apostille for these documents in advance.
