Seguridad Social is Spain's state social insurance system, which is responsible for recording insurance contributions, healthcare provision, pensions, benefits, and the registration of employees and employers.

A certificate of no outstanding debts confirms that an individual or company has no unpaid obligations to the social insurance system. This document is often required when applying for residence permits, renewing permits, executing contracts, and other administrative procedures.

The certificate can be obtained online through the electronic service of Tesorería General de la Seguridad Social. This process takes a few minutes if you have access to your personal account with your digital signature. How to obtain an ACCV certificate is explained in a separate guide.
